Kristi + Andrew // Honfleur France

Honfleur Wedding – French Wedding Videographer

WHAT MADE YOU CHOOSE HONFLEUR AS THE LOCATION FOR YOUR WEDDING?

Kristi and I settled on Honfleur in large part because it was (we thought) a destination that our photographer would find “inspiring”. We very much loved it from the looks of it online (having never been there ourselves beforehand), though all of the travel vloggers do an AMAZING job making it (Honfleur) seem less crowded than it is. Still, we thought it was stunning and loved our time there.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE JUNO WEDDING FILMS TO DOCUMENT YOUR WEDDING?

We were both very much taken-aback by your work. You had the right mixture of European and American cinematic style that we felt comfortable with. We had looked at a number of different filmmakers from Maru to White in Revery, and you just seemed to be the right balance of all their strengths while (for me) having a sensibility that I found a bit old-school, dare I say, classic. You didn’t resort to a lot of trickery in editing that I feel is being used to disguise poor technique and/or storytelling.

WHAT DO YOU GUYS DO FOR A LIVING, WHATS IMPORTANT IN LIFE TO YOU, HOW DO YOU SPEND YOUR DAYS?

We’re both wedding photographers and videographers ourselves, (www.1812weddings.com) so we live with cameras in our hands, and our eyes glued to either Lightroom or FCPX. What’s important for us is that we get to enjoy what we love together, for we share a similar passion for humanity and this thing we call love.

THE PROPOSAL, HOW DID IT HAPPEN, THE DETAILS?

The proposal was decidedly not romantic. It was the worst kept secret in all the world actually. In retrospect, there were more than a dozen times I likely could’ve said, “will you marry me” that would’ve (likely) been more awe-inspiring than how it went down in our kitchen after a long night working.

WHAT EXPERIENCE DID YOU WANT YOUR GUESTS TO HAVE FROM YOUR WEDDING DAY?

We had none, so at the very least, we hope you were able to enjoy your time in Honfleur, Dan. 😉
